Arsenal is believed to be leading the race to sign Yves Bissouma from Brighton this summer as the player looks to make a move.
Brighton paid just £15m for Yves Bissoumna two years ago and it is believed that they would be happy to let him go if they double their money.
Although West Ham, Everton and Tottenham are said to be interested, it is Arsenal who lead the pack.
So say the Sunday People, anyway.
Mikel Arteta is believed to see the box-to-box 24-year-old as the ideal midfield partner for Thomas Partey.
It had been claimed that Brighton would seek overs over £40m but it seems like that price might have dropped a little.
The Athletic reported that Brighton owner Tony Bloom wouldn’t consider even a £40m bid for Yves Bissouma this summer. They know there’s a huge amount of interest in the player, and want to see that reflected in the offers they receive.
According to the same report, Liverpool, Manchester United, Arsenal, Real Madrid, Leicester City, and Monaco are among the clubs credited with pursuing the former Lille midfielder.
Multiple outlets have linked Arsenal with Bissouma, from the Mirror’s report of their interest in March to his agent apparently confirming Arsenal’s involvement. But the price tag might prove problematic.
Bissouma has two years left on his current Brighton contract.
